Toner

What are UVA, UVB?

According to wavelengths and biological effects, ultraviolet (UV) is generally divided into long-wave UVA,
medium-wave UVB and short-wave UVC.
The redness or sunburn on the skin is mainly caused by medium-wave UVB.
Therefore, sun protection factor (SPF) mainly stands for the filtering and protective strength against exposure to medium-wave UVB.

What does SPF stand for?

UVB makes the skin burned, inflammated, swelling and peeling. Simply speaking, SPF refers to the ratio of the time for delayed redness after applying sunscreen product for suntanning for a long time, to the time required to get redness on the skin when no sunscreen product is applied. Thus, SPF is just the so-called sunscreen coefficient. For example, when no sunscreen product is applied, redness will be caused on the skin in 20 minutes; but after application of sunscreen product, it takes 2 hours for redness to be caused on the skin. Hence, the SPF of the sunscreen product is 6 (120/20 = 6).

What does "*" stand for?

UVA is the main reason for the skin to "become dark" and "become aged." "*" refers to the extent of separation from UVA.
